MKYRA Board of Directors
The people behind the curtain whom we love and appreciate so much.
president

“I got into rodeo when I was about 10 years old. I competed in steer riding and bareback bronc until I stopped.
Got back into rodeo in high school when I joined MKYRA. I chute dogged and team roped.
This association is special to me because it’s where I started competing and is now where both of my boys, Wyatt and Wesley are competing.
It’s a great family oriented organization full of great people and fun!”

“This is my second term serving as Treasurer.
My son, Jake Stoffer, is a senior this year, and our family has been part of MKYRA since 2021.
I also have a personal history with MKYRA, having been a member when I was younger. I competed in high school rodeo and went on to compete at the collegiate level as well.
I’m excited to continue supporting MKYRA and am looking forward to a great 2026 season.”

“I grew up around horses, and they have always been a huge part of my life. I was involved in showing horses (4-H & FFA), which taught me responsibility, hard work, and dedication.
Horses weren’t just an activity for my family — they were a way of life. My brother and sister were also involved in rodeo growing up, so it was something we all shared and looked forward to.
When my daughter Kelcee was 6 years old, she became interested in barrel racing. Seeing her excitement brought back so many memories from my own childhood. Our neighbors had an older horse that helped us get started, and that’s really where our rodeo journey as a family began. Rodeo has given us so many special experiences, from learning new skills to spending time together and meeting amazing people along the way. Horses have always been a constant in my life.
They are more than just animals — they are part of who I am and a tradition I’m proud to pass on to my daughter.
MKYRA is a great association because it provides such a supportive and welcoming community for riders and families of all ages and experience levels. It feels like more than just a place to compete — it truly feels like a rodeo family. It’s where kids can build confidence, sportsmanship, and responsibility while doing something they love. MKYRA also gives young riders the opportunity to gain experience, improve their skills, and grow as competitors in a safe and organized setting.”

“Cait and I married in 2022 and we were blessed with two feral children Laramie and Lawless along with my oldest saving grace, Gracie.
My dad was involved in Rodeo Kids as a child and grew to be a horseman and team roper. Being involved in rodeo he was also a funny man and bull fighter to pay our entry fees. My mother was born with a horse under her and is the best horseman I have ever known. She has taught lessons and trained horses as long as I have been breathing.
Horses and rodeo have always been a staple in my raising. As a kid, I was a member of MKYRA where I was a chute dogger and learned to work stock from many amazing contractors throughout the years.
MoKan to me is a life long family event. I’m proud to introduce my children to the life I had and hope they make lifelong friends and family like I have over the years.”
timed events director
Vic Roe

“”I’ve been married to Sonya Roe for 29 years where she gave me three beautiful children Ryder, Rhys, and Skyler.
My dad roped and trained colts growing up. He ended up quitting rodeo to haul me to MHSR my junior and senior years. Thanks to my dad’s coaching, I won the team roping and placed fourth in calf roping my senior year.
My family raises and trains horses and are blessed to haul to MKYRA.
I firmly believe kids and horses need to be “seasoned” to be able to compete under pressure.
MoKan is a great place for kids to learn, grow, and flourish at rodeo.
youth board director
Cody Lunceford

“I grew up competing in MoKan riding steers, and bulls and then chute dogging. Eventually, I turned my focus entirely on bull fighting.
You can still catch me in the arena helping the kids.
My wife, Natalie also competed in MoKan in barrels, poles, and breakaway. We now have two daughters that are very involved in MKYRA and we all absolutely love and look forward to each and every rodeo.
We believe MKYRA is a great way to get kids involved and learn to compete at a competitive level so the kids are ready for bigger rodeos and flourish in the future as rodeo athletes”

“Yaateeh, (hello)
I’ve been rodeoing since I was 12 yrs old. I started with steer riding and worked my way up to bull riding. I competed in high school rodeo all 4 years. I love MKYRA because everyone treats one another as family. We all encourage and support one another, it’s a great stepping stone for the young cowgirls/cowboys to start.
I’m excited to see where my own family is lead with rodeo. My kids share the rodeo bug and have been building their own relationships and knowledge within MKYRA.”

“I got into riding bulls later in my teens was on the NWMSU rodeo club through college.
I was never consistent at riding bulls so after college I switched to fighting bulls.
I fought bulls for almost 20 years and retired from fighting bulls in 2018… Until MKYRA asked!
I have great pride in getting to be in the arena when my three boys climb into a chute and come out kicking.”
Board meetings are the held at each rodeo while members are already present.
ALL ARE WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.
